Yesterday we were invited to participate in the Real Music Battle of the Bands 2025 (specifically in the first qualifying round, which will take place this Sunday, July 6)! Since this is not just a regular concert but a competition, the winner will be determined by audience votes. Quoting the festival organizers: “Crazy emotions, fierce rivalry, and simply a celebration of music!” This is a great opportunity to hear us and other bands, and to see how far we and they have come musically. But since it’s a competition, every single vote from you really matters. If (just hypothetically 😊) we make it into the top three winners of this round – that means you’ll get to hear us live again in the next round. Plus, the prizes include studio recording, a music video shoot, and sponsor support for the band. Of course, anything can happen in a fair competition, but it would be irrational to turn down such a chance, wouldn’t it?
So, we warmly invite you to come this Sunday and support us at the “Tepliy Lampovyi” club (Kyiv, 4/6 Omelyanovycha-Pavlenka St., near Arsenalna metro station).
Despite the bad weather, we received the most positive emotions

Automata and «Squid Game»: How We Set Volume Club on Fire 🎸🔥
Yesterday, our band Automata performed at a themed party dedicated to «Squid Game» at Volume Club, and it was absolutely incredible! The atmosphere was fully immersive: guards in red suits, a giant «Red Light, Green Light» doll, player masks, and neon lights that made everything even more intense.
We charged the crowd with a powerful set, starting with our signature bangers and finishing with a cover of «Way Back Then» — that very tune from the show, but in our alternative sound. People were singing along, moshing, and some even danced as if millions were truly at stake! 😆
After the concert, fans gathered around us — some thanked us for the amazing vibe, some asked for photos, and one guy even suggested playing tug-of-war… for good luck. 😅
Huge thanks to everyone who was there with us! Volume Club, you were on fire. Looking forward to new gigs and new battles on stage! 🚀🔥

T.I.W.L. – Meme-metal, and that says it all. They sing about what they see, pure “life-core” straight to the eye, and all in that spirit. Especially enjoyable for those named Pavlo.
Himera – A musical project with a multi-genre approach. The uniqueness of their sound is created by the combination of an electric saxophone, rhythm, bass, and solo guitars, vocals, and drums, blending different styles and emotional moods.
V Sensi?! – A punk-rock/metal band with lyrics that make you want to scream, act, and break stereotypes.
PillowBoys – A modern new-wave pop-punk band with a unique character and style.
Marvia – A contemporary nu-metal band that continues the legacy of the 2000s.
😮 02.02 16:00
Special guest: POLLAROID – These two definitely know how to make noise and tear up the stage.
A vivid mix of male and female expression results in wild riffs in the modern metal genre.
Two “O’s”, two bulls, fire, soul and heart inside out, sex, and metal.
Automata! – A rock band that combines Western, domestic, and Japanese musical aesthetics (j-rock), creating a unique sound. Their music touches on themes of anime, gothic style, philosophy, and deep emotions.
Stopmenow – Music from four different cities, united in one band. A mix of alternative rock and metal, with real emotions and stories.
Lysteria – A thrash metal band that tears through sound waves with lightning-fast riffs and insane drumming! 🔥 Energy, speed, and aggression – the perfect soundtrack for those who love powerful and heavy sounds!
Sichen – Art-metal.

On Saturday, December 14, 2024, we took part in the Christmas anime – k-pop – cosplay – dance party from Nice Guys, which took place in Kyiv at the Volume club. It has already become a good tradition to see a large number of visitors at Nice Guys parties, who this time, despite the cold and all other adversity, came to the party to create an unforgettable festive atmosphere together, which we all need so much. The program included vocal, dance numbers, performances of rock bands, a cosplay fashion show and various competitions that simply did not give a chance for sadness and boredom. A fairly large hall of the club was filled with bright cosplay images, charismatic personalities and just smiling people who were able to break away from their everyday problems and immerse themselves in the magic of Asian pop culture. We, for our part, did everything to meet their expectations – performed by the Automata group! We performed both covers of Japanese rock artists (Dir En Grey, Matenrou Opera) and songs of the band, imbued with Japanese musical and visual aesthetics and drive. In addition, during the performance, we held a small quiz on the topic of manga and anime to make our performance as interactive as possible and give people in the audience even more Christmas holiday. Crazy applause and reaction of the audience were a very valuable reward for our efforts. So we want to thank everyone present at this party – you are the best 🥰! By the end of the performance, there was a real unity between the stage and the audience (as evidenced by the photos taken from the stage by our drummer Neko)
We played:
- Automata
- Otaku
- Gothique
- Abyss
- Universe
- Shibari
- Dolce
- World after love
We also want to thank the organizers of this holiday – everything went as comfortably as possible for all the participants of the party. I would like to especially note that traditionally the organizers made sure that the artists felt as comfortable as possible both on stage and in the dressing room – this is a very high level, keep it up!
We are deeply grateful to you, dear subscribers — to everyone who came today to support us at “Warm Lamp”! 🥹🙏 Your support means the world to us! ❤️
Also, on behalf of myself and the entire band, I would like to thank the incomparable Nika Lenina, who managed to stunningly enhance our song *Automata* with her magical voice — especially during the instrumental solo, evoking absolutely fantastic emotions 😍❤️❤️. We sincerely thank her from the bottom of our hearts (and, not to jinx it, I’ll say this is likely just the beginning of our collaboration!).
Those who attended the concert today also know that this was the last (for an indefinite period) performance with our bassist — our steadfast and fearless Sheogorath, anime enthusiast, and supporter of Ukraine’s freedom. He is soon to join the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, heading to the eastern frontlines to fight the invaders. So a huge thanks to him for this brilliant performance! I hope it won’t be too long before we can reunite on stage again. But Automata doesn’t stop here — that’s Sheogorath’s wish as well 💪🤝.
Our setlist:
- Don’t Cry
- Reaper’s Gate
- Otaku
- Gothique
- Abyss
- Universe
- World After Love
- Automata
But that’s not all!!! Subscribers who stayed close to the stage during Automata’s performance, we’ve prepared some fun posters of the band for you. Remember Twin Day? It’s here! We’ll hand them out to you, dear fans, directly from the stage (complete with covers to keep them intact until the end of the party)!
